Serve as a point of contact between the coach, team members, and their families. Disseminate important information, such as practice schedules, game updates, and club announcements, to all team members.

Assist in the registration process for players, ensuring that all necessary forms, waivers, and fees are submitted on time. Work closely with the club registrar to ensure accurate and complete registration. 

The club will be using the PlayMetrics platform for its registration process. All members of the club will need to use PlayMetrics to register for a program or event. Additional information can be found at the links below.

Take responsibility for registering the team in tournaments. Discuss tournament options with the coach, and once a decision is made, complete the registration process. If payment is required at registration, reach out to the club treasurer or registrar to arrange payment using the club credit card. Otherwise, proceed to register the team and request a check be mailed to the tournament for the completed amount required by the tournament. 

Work closely with the club treasurer to manage team finances. If payment is needed for tournament registration or events established during the team’s budgeting process, reach out to the treasurer to arrange for a check to be sent to organizers. Please allow 3-4 days for this to be completed. For emergencies of if an immediate response is needed, please conatact the registrar.

GotSport is the most commonly used registration program by tournaments. We included the link to their FAQ below. Most tournament sites will also have their own FAQ and tournament director contact for additional questions.

Organize and coordinate volunteers for various team-related activities, such as game-day responsibilities, fundraising events, and team outings. Ensure that all necessary volunteer roles are filled and that volunteers are informed about their duties.

Provide support to the coach and team members as needed. This may include organizing team-building activities, assisting with equipment and uniform distribution, and addressing any concerns or issues raised by team members or their families.

Maintain accurate records related to team activities, such as attendance at practices and games, tournament results, and any other relevant information. This will help with future planning and reporting.

The Team Manager can also assist the team with reporting team scores to its respective league. 

Foster a positive team environment by promoting team spirit and unity. Coordinate fundraising activities to support the team's financial needs, such as purchasing equipment, covering additional tournament expenses, or funding team events. Please review our fundraising guidelines included below.

Prioritize the safety and well-being of players, adhering to child protection policies and guidelines set by the club and relevant authorities. Report any concerns or suspicions of abuse, misconduct, or violation of ethical standards to the appropriate club officials or authorities. Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with players, ensuring a safe and respectful parent-player relationship.

Please note that the roles and responsibilities of a team parent may vary between teams. It's always a good idea to communicate with the club officials, coach, and other team parents to ensure everyone is on the same page and working together effectively.
